The Asian-Pacific Association for Computational Mechanics announces the following awards to recognize outstanding contributions in computational mechanics:

APACM Congress Medal (Zienkiewicz Medal)
The Congress Medal is presented to honor an individual who has made outstanding and sustained contributions in the general field of computational mechanics over a substantial period of professional career and has shown leadership through contributions in promoting computational mechanics activities in the Asian-Pacific region. This award will be given once in three years at the time of the APCOM Congress. Self- nominations are not accepted. The recipient of this award will be chosen by the APACM Awards Committee appointed by the Executive Council.
APACM Congress Medal (Valliappan Medal)
This is one of the highest recognitions bestowed on an individual for his/her significant contributions in various fields of computational mechanics. This award will be given once in three years at the time of the APCOM Congress. Self- nominations are not accepted. The recipient of this award will be chosen by the APACM Awards Committee appointed by the Executive Council.
APACM Award for Computational Mechanics
This award will be given to individuals who have made significant contributions in the fields of computational solid mechanics, computational fluid mechanics and fields other than solid and fluid mechanics. A maximum of three awards will be given once in three years at the time of the APCOM Congress. Nominations will be called for by the APACM Awards Committee, which will select the winners of the award and recommend to the Executive Council. Self- nominations are not accepted. Nominations from different countries in the Asian-Pacific region will be invited.
APACM Award for Young Investigators in Computational Mechanics
This award will be given to recognize the outstanding accomplishments through published papers by researchers of 40 years old or younger. A maximum of six awards will be given once in three years at the time of the APCOM Congress. Nominators may send only one nomination with details as to the qualification of the nominee with supporting evidence for the award. Self-nominations are not accepted.
